Good qualityAs a kid, my husband grew up with Chyawanprash from Dabur. Sadly quality of products made in India might be a bit spurious. This one, fortunately, is made in the Middle East. The same great taste and quality seems far superior. It goes great on toasts or just a spoonful with your favorite beverage. Gooseberries from vit C seems to revv up the immune system along with other herbs believed to be helpful to ensute healthy mind, gut, and overal physical wellbeing. Highly recommended!

Love this, but wish there were not preservativesThis is my favorite Chyawanprash of the several brands I’ve tried so far. It’s delicious, not too sweet, great thick texture on a spoon (like liking a lollipop). I wish though it didn’t have Sodium Benzoate, a preservative, and that there was an option to purchase it in a glass or PBA free container. Studies show that Sodium Benzoate may increase your risk of inflammation, oxidative stress, obesity, ADHD, and allergies. It may also convert to benzene, a potential carcinogen, but a low level may be safe. I gave it only 3 stars because of these health concerns.

NiceLike many others my foil seal was broken but not by much. Decided to try it anyway. It tastes like dried prunes mashed into a paste with powdered black pepper salt and a bit of sugar. I ate some about 2 hours ago. This is my first time trying any product like this. It gave me a happy relaxed warm feeling like after drinking a beer with friends but without any inebriation. I really enjoy it so far. I hope I can continue to have this effect. Honestly it would get a 5 but for the packaging. This isnt a flavor is would normally reach for but it is way better than marmite and I like the other effects.

pleasedInitially package arrived very quickly, within 3 day but with foil under lid torn and spread leaking under cap. However, they immediately shipped a replacement to me which also arrived very fast this time the seal was completely intact. There was a bit that seeped out under seal which was clearly done in packaging and was not tampered with as I was having a difficult time pulling foil up. So all in all everything was fine the with the replacement and I’m very happy with the product. I had never tried it before and a friend told me about it. It’s very unique but good.

Dabur ChyawanprashThis has an interesting flavor. It’s sweet and though hubs isn’t too fond of it I like it. It supposed to help keep the immune system healthy and strong. However, I don’t really know if it does or not, but I’ve only had one, short lasting cold since starting this. I don’t eat it everyday though – usually only when I see it in the fridge and think, “Hey! I should eat some of that!”.
Natural Remedies –
contains parabens – when formulated did not had any preservative but was self preservedtaste is good but i am just concerned that why add parabens? It means that there is either too much moisture or the osmatic pressures from salt/ sugar are not right.

Most Potent Healer That Taste GreatThis is just the most wonderful JAM in the world. I just eat it out of container w a spoon. Just found out traditionally they eat it on empty stomach y for many health reason but I’ve been buying it just because I like the taste. So when I found out how medicinal it really is I was quite astounded y a little bit intimidated because even tho I don’t like it on bread I like it on a spoon y never thought of it as such a healer y with a 150 herbs y spices I knew it was good for you but then I found out from Indian family how it can heal such powerful afflictions y renew you so now I’m a bit more serious about it y I’m looking to take it on empty stomach only y pay more attention to its affect on y body. A tasty healer! Chiron in a bottle.

It’s good.I’ve heard a lot about this through the years but only buy it for the first time now. I do understand why some customers did not like the taste but I kind of like it. It’s bold and invigorating. I mostly feel cardamon, pepper, sugar and some dry fruit taste in it. I try to eat a spoon every day, but constantly want more for some reason. Maybe my body likes it. I think it does make me feel better and somewhat reduce the fatigue and normalise appetite. I cannot judge about the purity and quality of it. It’s not organic and it’s made in India according to the standards we don’t know. Maybe without standards at all. But this is reflected in the price. It’s inexpensive. Worth trying i think.

Addictive, healing and deliciousMy best buy for a while. I am addicted to this jam. I am a westerner but love Indian food. I bought it because of good reviews and hoped to get something healthy. It feels very healing. The texture is like a heavy plum jam or like crystallized honey. It is pretty sweet, but not too sweet.A great feature is that it produces a whole series of tastes which a felt one after another. First is physical sensation, then hot pepper spicy taste (very mild), then I would say it is a taste of evergreen sap – like pine sap or frankincense – I am not sure which of the components gives it. It lists like 80 components and I trust that there is at least 15 major ones with great spice tastes and it feels healing. It helps with sadness, depression, feeling low. Some days I would take it 4 times a day. Really great – a good substitute for morning coffee – it wakes you up and gives a boost.

Dabur chywanaprash!Found a huge piece of plastic in the chywanaprash!!Editing my review based on my interaction with Dabur team. The Dabur team not only rigorously followed up on the issue but also updated me about the investigation. This makes me feel confident that I can continue to expect high quality products as I always have. They also send me a surprise gift package, including products that I have regularly used for years!

Spicy, not the taste of chyawanprashWe have used chyawanprash on and off over many years from many different brands including this brand of Dabur. For some reason they have added chili or peppers to this making it spicy. Neither me nor my daughter like it, my daughter won’t even taste it anymore and I am trying to slowly finish it off.

very bold strange taste, but I’m powering through for the health benefitswell I don’t really like it, the taste is a very strong acquired taste (several weeks in I haven’t acquired it yet!!), but for the purported health benefits I’ll deal with itwhen this is gone (at a teaspoon a day that may be my lifetime, it’s a big jar!!) I’ll read the other reviews more carefully for one that has a more pleasant taste

A LOT of added sugarThis is a bit hard to review. It has a LOT of added sugar (total 10 grams per teaspoolful; second ingredient on the list), so it’s unfortunately no use to me. As far as I know chyawanaprash isn’t supposed to have added sugar, so on the one hand the product is defective and I should take off stars to indicate that to others. But on the other hand I should’ve read the clearly-posted ingredient list before ordering it and so I shouldn’t take off stars. I was going to compromise and just not leave a review, but the seller has contacted me requesting that I review it. New compromise: 3 stars.
